A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The downside of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of unsolicited bulk emails, but this problem can be rectified using anti-spam protection software. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without difficulty in case you have a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet amazingly easy to work with, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have created using your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
